FAQ
-
What do I need to check-in?
We require those with an American ID to show us an off-island ticket. This is a traveler’s hostel, so we need some proof that you are planning on leaving Maui. We also require a $10 cash key deposit (you’ll get the deposit back if you don’t lose your key and check-out on time).
-
So I need an off-island ticket?
Yes! Please be ready to show us your ticket scheduled to depart Maui.
-
Cancellation policy?
Please email us to cancel 48 hours before the reservation. No-shows and late cancellations forfeit their first night’s deposit. If you booked through Hostelworld, you need to cancel through them in order to get your deposit back.
-
Do you have age restrictions?
Yes. Please, no children under the age of 12. All minors (under 18) must stay in a private room with a parent or guardian. You need to be 18 to stay in a dorm.
We have no upper age limit, although most of our guests are on the younger side.
-
Can I check-in after 11pm?
Yes! Email or call us before hand to let us know. We’ll leave your key out for you at the reception desk. Please make sure that you have our gate codes before arriving late. If you don’t see them in your email, call us.
-
How do I sign up for tours?
IN PERSON the day before the tour is scheduled at the reception desk. The sign up sheet goes out after that days tour has left. Please do not email us to sign up.
-
Can you put me and my friends in the same dorm?
We can try! After you book, shoot us an email (include all names and reservation numbers) and we’ll do our best to put you in the same room.
-
Do you have parking?
Parking right in front of the hostel is free, but space is limited. However, free street parking abounds in Wailuku Town, so you’ll probably be able to find parking 1-2 blocks away.
-
What's the bathroom situation like?
We have 6 single-occupancy bathrooms that are shared by everyone. This means that you can shower alone, not in a stall right next to someone.
You can rent a towel for $2. Toiletries (shampoo, body wash) are free.
-
Do you have quiet hours?
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. We’re a party hostel with an early bedtime. If you want to keep partying, there are bars in the area open later.
