Frequently Asked Questions

  • IN PERSON the day before the tour is scheduled at the reception desk. The sign up sheet goes out after that days tour has left. Please do not email us to sign up.

  • Please email us to cancel 48 hours before the reservation. No-shows and late cancellations will be charged for the first two nights. If you booked through Hostelworld, you need to cancel through them in order to get your deposit back.

  • We require those with an American ID to show us an off-island ticket. This is a traveler’s hostel, so we need some proof that you are planning on leaving Maui.

  • Yes! We’ll leave your key out for you at the reception desk. Please make sure that you have our gate codes before arriving late. If you don’t see them in your email, call us.

  • Check-in starts at 2pm, and check-out is by 10am. You can use our facilities and bathrooms the morning before you check-in and before your flight after you check-out.

  • Parking right in front of the hostel is free, but space is limited. However, free street parking abounds in Wailuku Town, so you’ll probably be able to find parking 1-2 blocks away.

  • Yes. Please, no children under the age of 12. All minors (under 18) must stay in a private room with a parent or guardian. You need to be 18 to stay in a dorm.

    We ask that guests older than 50 book a private room.

  • We have 6 single-occupancy bathrooms that are shared by everyone. This means that you can shower alone, not in a stall right next to someone.

    Toiletries (shampoo, body wash) are free.

  • Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. We’re a party hostel with an early bedtime. If you want to keep partying, there are bars in the area open later.

  • Yes, most of our dorm rooms have lockers. We rent locks for $2 cash.

  • Yes. If needed, you can ask for a complimentary blanket at reception. All guests get one complimentary towel, the rest are $2.

  • Yes, we have luggage free storage for use before and after your stay.
