Road to Hana Tour

Every Tuesday 8:30am – 8pm (approx)

The legendary Road to Hana winds along Maui’s rugged Eastern coast. The Banana Bungalow has been bringing people to Hana in our 15- passenger vans for over two decades. Guided by fun, knowledgeable guides, this group tour is a must-do!

Cost: $15 National Park entry fee (this goes to the Park System, not the hostel!) + tip for guide.

Exact stops vary depending on weather, time constraints, and tour guide preferences. But, generally, this is what we do:

  • Stop at Ho’okipa beach near Paia to see turtles
  • Get Banana Bread from Aunty Sandy’s and lunch from road side food stands.
  • Hike the Pipiwai Trail in the Kapalua district of Haleakala National Park
  • This tour does the full circle road including the southern “backside”
  • Cliff jumping, beaches

Hana

A day that you cannot miss! Be sure to be in the common area by 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday for this extraordinary Hana tour. We take you along the coast for miles of beautiful views and cross over 40 one-lane bridges, with waterfalls at every turn.

You will hike through a bamboo forest and cool off in a waterfall. The tour leaves at 8:30 a.m., and returns around 1.5 hours after sunset.
