DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM KAHULUI AIRPORT Exit the airport terminal toward Kahului. Take a right at the first light onto Haleakala Hwy. Merge right into Hana Hwy. The road will curve sharply left and become State Highway 32, Kaahumanu Ave. Go about 2.5 miles. You will go under an overpass. At the second stoplight after the overpass, turn right onto State Hwy. 330, N. Market St. After about 0.3 miles you will cross a bridge, the hostel is on the right immediately after the bridge. Take your first right after the hostel building onto Kapoai Place. You may park in the garage while you check in. The reception desk is in the front of the grey hostel building, facing N. Market St.

GETTING HERE BY MAUI BUS You can take the Upcountry Islander #40 or the Haiku Islander #35 to Kaahumanu for $1. From Kahumanu Center you can take either the Wailuku Route #1 or #2. Route #2 takes around 24 mins and #1 takes around 35 mins. Wailuku Route is free. Once you are on the Wailuku Route you will want to get off at Piihana Terrace. You can tell the bus driver that you are going to Banana Bungalow and they will know where to let you off. The city bus does have luggage restrictions. You can only take luggage on the bus that you can fit on your lap. If you have a lot of luggage you will probably need to take a taxi. A taxi cost around $25.
